Every time I power on my Shaker 500 I hear a popping noise a few seconds after with unit powers on. Sounds like it is coming from the passanger side door sub. Is this normal?

I'll get that little power "bump" too. It doesn't seem to be causing any problems, though. System still sounds just fine.

Thanks for your reply. Other than the power "bump" my system seems to work just fine as well.

I am no expert but I would say this is normal for the unit, it seems like when it first turns on it the subs make a pop noise from the electricity first going to them. I have heard this before on my Bose speakers I had in a previous car.

Actually check page 33 here:

The shaker is designed supposedly to mute the sound right after powerup to eliminate the pops. I got this initially on an aftermarket HU but not with stock.
