As a major lurker of TMS, I finally did the deed. Ordered Shadow today.

I had heard all sorts of horror stories about how my local dealership were "d***s", but I did my research (thanks to all of you) and it went SO smooth. Maybe cause I went in there with badge, gun, taser, OC and chucks... maybe that did it. Naw, they were really nice folks.

Im first in line for the 06 and they must have told 4 different customers that just today (with the sales manager and dealership VP standing right there).

It would be sweet for Shadow to be born on my b-day at the end of August. *holds his breath*

Well, back to lurking, watching the calendar and, as with most, waiting.

The wait was the hardest part for me. It was only 11 weeks, but it seemed like a lot longer. The last week or so was pure torture knowing that my new GT was close but not quite to the dealer. However, when I got the call March 24th, it was a very happy day and I haven't looked back since. I find myself inventing reasons to go for a drive I love it so much.

Funny, my wait for the car seemed soooooo long, but after having the car less than two months, that long wait seems like it never happened.

Naw. Went with the 17" stock. Might go aftermarket later on, but I have ALOT of little projects scheduled for Shadow.

I also just ordered my 06 too...my 05 order wait is at 10 weeks so far, but that's been cancelled and I've been bumped to 06 - which stinks but at least now I can get spoiler delete and the 18"s. The way I figure, by the time I get my car my wait will have been approx. 25 weeks, or over 6 months. Man that's craziness

Just got back from the dealer with pricing on my 06 GT. Looks like she is $24.00 under invoice under X-Plan. If I had be able to get A/Z Plan it would be about 1k under invoice and D-Plan is 900 under.

I did notice that the dealership added the FDAF Assessment @300 dollars to even the x-plan. I asked about it and the sales manager really didnt have an answer for why or if they can add it in.

Also, he mentioned that for the next 2 months GM is giving customers employee prices when purchasing a new car. Dont know if this is true or not. I havent surfed for any announcements, but he speculated that there might be some incentives coming down from Ford cause of it. I laughed at the thought of incentives on the Mustang. World Peace is more likely.

Sales manager said that when he gets a DORA, I get a DORA too

 

Congrats! So, I'm guessing "Shadow" is a Tungsten stang? If so, I ordered the same color. Here's hoping both their "born on" dates is Aug 08!
