In Sept. 2000, Ford introduced 2002 Thunderbird sales with 200 special edition Nieman Marcus cars. I was fortunate enought to get one of them. My order was taken by phone on 9/25/2000. Then the wait began. The Nieman car arrived on October 2, 2001. During the wait period there were so many of us future owners who opened the Thunderbird forum on BON, which later transferred into a couple of other forums which are still going on. Now, I've had a 2005 white GT on order since the first moment Ford would accept them. The wait. The anticipation is much the same. My dealer shows the 2005 as having been built, but still tba on shipping. Are there any others out there who are Thunderbird/ Mustang crossovers? Attached is what the white 05 Mustang will be parked beside of in the garage when it arrives. ......the 2 Fords on the left......not the Chevy!!

You could say Im a T-Bird/Mustang crossover. Not quite what you are refering to thou.

My first car I purchased myself was a 1996 V8 T-Bird. Ive been driving my 2001 V6 Mustang since Nov 2000

I'm trading my 02 Tbird for the 05 Stang. I understand the feeling.

Thanks very much. The Thunderbird (2002) is called "Whisper" white. It's darker than the "Performance" white. However, Ford does make a Performance white hardtop that can be ordered with some models of the TBird. The whisper white color is very close to the shade of white that was used on the 65 Mustang.
