Vinyl Stripe Removal

Ok just looking to see what the best stuff out there for removing the adhesive that is left on the car after removing vinyl stripes, I removed the stripes today and need to get the rest of the stuff off, I have tried some carquest stuff and that didn't work all that great, I know of goo gone, goof off, what are some things to try.

I have used finger nail polish remover with great success. I put just a hint of it on a soft cloth and rub it on the surface. The glue ***** right up off the paint. It's the acetone in the remover that reduces the glue. Then I get my wax out and polish the treated surface. It ends up looking like new.

Next week I will be putting back on 10" stripes, these were old and faded were almost a matte black, plus the addition of a hood scoop and gt500 spoiler so I want it all to look fresh.

By far the best stuff I've used is 3M Adhesive Remover. It comes in a liquid or spray can. No worries about hurting the paint either!

GOO GONE is a good product I have used & had good success with. I have used it to remove spoiler & emblem adhesive.

Not so much worried about paint, the clear coat on cars is extremely resilient to most things.

3M Adhesive Remover or Goo Gone are probably your safest bets.
