I got a call from my salesman today telling me that he checked the computer and my car has been sequenced for 6/26/06. He also gave me a partial VIN and thanks to this forum I was able to fill in the blanks.

The salesman said that the sequence number meant that my car was going to be built that day. Is this correct?


If that is correct, how long from sequence date until it ships?

I am totally new to the ordering experience so any info or insight would be very much appreciated.

I don't think they can guarantee that date, usually it's "scheduled to be built the week of". I'm sched for the same week, my VIN is 214311, just 37 away from you. Recently some people have seen their '07 arrive at the dealer 10-12 days after the build date, which you can find out by checking with Customer Service. Now that you have a VIN, you should be able to do that, but I don't know their phone number.

Congratulations, I imagine we'll be getting our new cars about the same time. I'm thinkin the second or third week of July, but it could be earlier.

Thanks for the response, I wonder how I can contact Customer Service? I have been talking with my salesman but is there another way?

I am amazed at how quickly this has all taken place. I just ordered it on June 12 and the ball is rolling fast. I did not figure I would see my car until August or September. I am glad it is going as fast as it is because I am already dying of waiting.
