I thought I read about it before but can't find any info on it. Is there a site that explains the VIN codes?

This site will, as soon as Brad has the info. I am wiling to bet that if we do not have it yet, it is becuase it is not yet to be had.

 

For the third time, from my previous posts, I believe the VIN codes are:

1ZV - Built in US by AAI
H (or F) - H = Active belts (all positions) and front and side air bags (driver and passenger), F = Active belts (all positions) and front air bags (driver and passenger)
T - All passenger vehicles imported from outside North America or non-Ford build passenger vehicle marketed by Ford in North America
82 (or 80) - 82 = GT coupe, 80 = V6 coupe
H (or N) - H = 4.6L V8, N = 4.0L V6
? - VIN check digit (calculated by the standard automotive formula)
5 - Model Year 2005
5 (PLT column on dealer order bank screen) - AAI: Flat Rock, Michigan
?????? - 6-digit consecutive unit number (starts with 100,001)

I guess Brad is ignoring my posts, or else he feels my information isn't credible enough.. Could everyone who has a complete VIN or vehicle in hand please check and see if these codes are correct???

Where are you located?
Have you been given a delivery date yet?
Your post says GT premium but your VIN indicates GT deluxe? :scratch:

 

maybe i missed something, but how can you tell the difference from a gt deluxe and gt premium from the vin? They Both are body code T82.

 

the vin you typed and the description don't match. In your vin you have H as the Model Specific, but in your description you list F.

You are right, I was mixing it up with the V6 body code.
