Well I guess we think what we want, but I think its just a gt with some add ons. Hood scoop looks exactly like the one there selling at my dealer, I did not hear anything like a blower or whine as you put it, but you know if you like it I guess, too each his or her own.

The car will not look like this. It is not a GT. It is a test mule in the GT's body (kinda like a wolf in sheep's clothing).

exactly - a test mule. Here's the other mentioned mule with the black "hood scoop" pictures . Notice all the instrumentation inside, if it was someone's car that they simply added a hood scoop to, they likely wouldn't have all that testing equipment. Its a frequent occurrence for car manufacturers to use body shells that don't give away the looks of the car. If they didn't do so there would be no point to unveiling the car at any show because all the car magazines would have pictures months before the show. I believe I remember seeing pics taken by AmyV6 before the release of the '05 of an '05 mule with an 04 front and rear end... also seem to remember something like a mustang with a lincoln front end (or maybe that's backwards).
Its a test mule, designed NOT to give away details and NOT to get attention.
I just wanted to 2nd John's point. All manufacturers either use the current car to test the equipment of a newer model, or completely camoflage the real car. In the recent issue of Automobile, they did a story on the new Bentley Continental Flying Spur, the 4 door car based on the Conti GT. The car they drove, had fake front and rear panels on it that made it look like a Mercedes Benz. Even the lights were M-B style! They do this so no magazines can get a clean picture of the car that will be unveiled at the shows. All the magazines can do is use computer generated ideas. DO NOT WORRY!!!!! The car in NY will look AWSOME. I can't wait to go next Friday

Guys, this vehicle is a TEST MULE. I have seen the "it's just a GT with add-ons" and "dude, I hope that isn't the Cobra, 'cuz it's ugly" and "that hood scoop is ugly" posted at least 3 or 4 times. I (and a lot of others) have been following the Mustangs since well before they were released. Ford uses cars with all those monitoring devices to test the drive trains. I also read the posts from the guy that filmed this over at SVTperformance.com. He said he heard blower whine.

Yup... test mules are a hodge podge of parts. Some will actually BE on the car when it's in production, some of it will never see production and some of it are parts from earlier years and makes.
They do have different mules out to test different parts of the car. So.. each one is gonna look a little off from each other. They aren't pretty either. And even though in pictures it looks like they are very easy to spot... THEY AREN'T!! You have to have an eye for this sort of stuff. Thankfully.. I know what to look for

Yea.. back in April.. I took a picture and a video of an early 05 V6 test mule.. it's the one where the lady started yelling at me and in turned followed me and cut me off... that mule had 99+ taillights on it.
And yup... there was a couple Lincoln LS bodies with the 05 Mustang front end (bumper, grill, everything) I showed Brad one when he was here, but the picture he took of it didn't turn out.
And for the longest time I thought we will finally get color coded side mirrors... many of the white mules I chased HAD redfire side mirrors. I would've gotten the first vert picture too back in April, didn't have my camera, but followed it for 50 miles haha
So... don't take what you guys see soooooo literally. They are what's known in the biz as TEST MULES!!! So SIMMA DOWN NAW!! hahaha
PS... saw a Mineral Grey 05 with the fanblade rims... soooooo NIOCE :worship: And caught what I think is a Roush coming out of the proving grounds.
