CelticCub;
Couple of points that you and other might help me with.
1. I enjoyed the 6 on a test drive and I don't get the $5000 for 5.1 zero to sixty compared to 6.9.
2. I am tormented by the 19 extra feet in stopping 70 to 0 MPH of the v6.
3. The 6 being made in Germany just seems wrong, as does the French trany. There isn’t any choice on the trany since it the same on both cars.
4. How do I get a Romeo V8? Wait till 06 or 07 or is there dealers to go the extra mile of an 05?
5. Nothing against our friend to the north but they haven’t been a $5000 extra kind of friend lately.
6. Is there something I missing to cover the value of the GT?

1. Glad you enjoyed your test drive. Math isn't my strong suit, but the difference is 1.8 seconds and TONS of adrenaline.
2. Well then, I guess you'll be better at stopping your car, won't you? Good for you! After all, that's why I'm buying a GT, so I can STOP it.
3. Wrong? How? Do you have a problem with Germans? With the French? Whose decision was it to let "them dang foreigners" build our parts in the first place?
4. Yes, wait until 2006 or 2007 for an American-made engine. You're a man of principles, aren't you? Put up or shut up. And huh?
5. Oh, I get it, humor. What a concept.
6. Hmm... let's see, either it's worth it to you or it isn't.
Happy trails!

There's more to it than just quality. It's also about pride. It's harder and harder to buy American and keep our countrymen employed rather than exporting our paychecks out of the country.

Okay, I can't remember exactly where I saw this, but within the past two weeks I saw a note on a website that said the 4.6L-3V V8 production had just recently been totally taken over by the Romeo plant. It stated something about that this followed their original plan of building in two locations until the Romeo plant was able to handle all the production by itself, which apparently it now is...
Can't remember where it was, but I do think it wasn't in a forum.
If I find it again I'll post a link to it...
