Any opinions? I just did this in photoshop....

Not entirely accurate, wheel image represents a 16", But I'm sure only the 17 would fit the '05 V6 and GT.

Looks good! Especially with the WB. I have considered the Cragar SS wheels myself or possibly the chrome bullitts. Used to have cragars on my '69 stang, which was also the WB equivilent of the time. I think they enhance the retro look, which is what I want to keep with this car.

I'm just guessing that there might be some caliper clearance problems, not on the outer edge, but on the face of the caliper, facing against the spokes. The Cragar site gives no information on fitment.

But when the time comes, I guess any reputable vendor would know for sure.

Cragars would look pretty cool. I agree completely with your appraisal. Lately, I've taken a shine to the Legend Lime. I may end up ordering exactly what you have! Please post lots of pix once your car arrives!

As a matter of fact, I just ordered the 1/18 scale version of your car (with 18" fan blades). It'll have to do until the full-size version arrives. B)

But the stock 16" rims fit fine. Why would aftermarket 16's be any different?

I was looking around for a rim I could put on the V6 that I'm getting and I love the Cragar Series 610 & 61. Once I get those the V6 rims will get some studs on them for winter months

I have been very interested in those wheels as well, the machined ones to be specific. I am looking at the 18x9s. Have you been able to locate any photos of any cars with the machined on them? I have been unsuccesful.

What I'm talking about is the allowable offset behind the spokes. The SS is a a very deep-dish style, with a deep 'bowl' shape, even on the 17 inch versions, otherwise it wouldn't be an SS. If you notice, the stock V6 rims have the spokes way on the outside, with the hub and calipers situated very close, looks like a lot of open space is needed around the hub+brake area to fit any wheel without any interference from the rim. Its just a casual observation. I haven't done the footwork on this.

I think they look great! Enhances the retro feel of the car. Weld wheels makes a forged version of the Cragar SS in 18x9. Provided with the correct offset, you could enhance the car's looks, increase the tire width, and perhaps even decrease the unsprung weight and overall weight of the car.(Albeit, not by much, but still ) Cool mod.

Oh okay, haven't looked very close at the rim and brakes of the V6. I understand what you mean now.
