Crazyhorse, FYI my local dealer told me the GT500 order guide is back up again.

 

Sweet. It is too late for me today. The dealer is 2 hours away. Hopefully, I will go tomorrow and put the order in.

 

Recommend you confirm this with your dealer before you make the trip.

 

Mark, and Kevin, the GT500 guide is back up again. Though, Ford didn't put the regular Mustang guide up yet. Don't know what is going on.

Man I'll be glad to finally get that darn Shelby in the order bank. It has been a long 4 years.

What are you going to do? Have you decided or still waiting to see what 2008 brings?

I'd sure like to see the GT500 come in Vapor/Vista.

 

Waiting on the 08 order guide before I decide. But I'm looking at the GTs and GT/CSs.
Now if they offered a 2008 Shelby GT in Blue with Silver stripes, I may have to reconsider my options.

The wait is killing me

I went in first thing monday morning thinking the dealership would have the codes to order, but I guess not. So, I went home calling all dealers to see if anyone knew about it.

Of the 5 dealers I contacted, all said they didn't know it. One said that I was not correctly informed. Another dealership confirmed that the order banks did open, but no order guide published

 

Maybe they are going to surprise us?

 

I checked again this morning..NOTHING!! Come on Ford, lets get this program going!

 

Maybe they are waiting for an annoucement next week that crispy23c mentioned would come out between 23 and 27 April. He didn't say what it was. I can't find the the post where he said it (may be on another forum)

 

Searched and searched and couldn't find that post. Just conjecture on my part, but maybe Ford and Shelby are trying to come to some agreements that will affect the order guide.

e.g. whether there will be a 54U package for 2008 (Ford package for converting a GT into a Shelby GT), and whether there will be a Shelby GT convertible offered in 08.
Again, I'm just guessing here.

I've reset my internal clock to expect the order guide to be out next weekend.
