The PowerPoint from the 2007 model year showed the GT/CS as a 2-year program.

 

Tony, as you pointed out, the GT/CS is a fact for 2008.

I was just saying that there is no info out yet on which colors will be available on the GT/CS.

Back in Dec 06, Kevin (TMS Parts supplier), had said to that new colors may be coming for the 08 GT/CS.

 

What does candy apple red look like?

 

The color will be my only hold up for an '08. Hopefully we can see a chip or a sample of some kind.!

 

I've been basing my estimate on when the 2008 order guide will come out, based on when the 2007 order guide came out in relation to the 2007 order banks opening date.

2007 order guide came out 2 days prior to when the 2007 order banks open (11 Mar 06 guides came out, 13 Mar 06 order banks open).

However, I went back and looked at 2006 and that was depressing. Order guides came out 12 days after the order banks opened (16 May 05 order banks open, 28 May guide comes out).

Hopefully this year will be more like last year. I'm gonna be very frustrated if that order guide isn't out by next Monday.

Guides Out!

 

More specifically the GT 500 order guide is out. Waiting impatiently for the "ordinary" mustang order guide.

 

Based on the GT-500 order guide, it looks like the only new items for the 08 Mustang will be:

HID headlamps
Ambient Lighting
Vapor
Candy Apple Red

At least until the Bullitt SE arrives.

 

Have they said anything about the 'marauder' forged alloy wheels being available for 08? They sent me a special pricing offer for dealers to buy sets of them for only 770(cost for wheels and tires asuming there is a set of 17" take-offs included).

 

i've debated whether to get a 2006/07 GT or wait and see what 2008 holds, but then i saw this concept pic of the 2009. if there's a even a chance on the 2009 Stangs looking like this, i think i'll wait for my upgrade.

 

That photo actually looks suprisingly similar to the current Stangs. The only differences are the grille/headlights, and the massive wheels/tires. I do like the grille/headlights though...

 

I'm just paying mine off early and getting the new one too, probably the 2nd year or so, for the same reason I held out on the 07. From now on, unless it gets body damage I think I'm just going to keep all my cars. I have 15 or so 'should never of solds' already(not to mention bikes and guns). Its not worth the money to sell something that I like and have owned from day one.

 

Looks like a photo shop streached and compressed , look at the honeycomb grill parts, the lower part is too big and the upper is too small, they do not match .
I do like the headlights, hope that is what the 08 HID's look like.

It's April 16th, the 2008 order banks are opening today. Where's my order guide?

 

Well Mark, its 9:43 AM EST, and Ford's dealer page is down. I have a feeling they are updating the site and hopefully adding all the ordering guides that they need.

True... I can't wait to get news... sadly I gotta get some sleep now, I have to get up at 6 am tomorrow... (it's 11:12 PM here)

I hope to read some news tomorrow morning!

 

Maybe it is because all our dealer friends are too busy putting in Mustang orders to come on here and tell us the system is accepting orders.
