Unique Calls it quits...
This caught me by surprise.... I guess trouble has been brewing for a while.

I don't think so. These guys were making GT500E's under Shelby. Also had "GT350SR"s that I thought were pretty cool, moreso than the "Eleanor"s at least.
Looks like I was beat to it. Unique whips is about Unique Autosports. That story is about Unique Performance. I always wondered how they could issue Shelby VINs 30-40 yrs after they fact. Guess they really couldn't.
Unique Performance also manufactured the FOOSE Stallion Mustang for FOOSE, so we won't see anymore production FOOSE Mustangs for sale after the current ones are gone. Parts can still be acquired directly from FOOSE. But the cars won't be made anymore.
YEAH I find that hard to believe.
A - he has a prexisting deal in place I would imagine he has to honor in terms of making these SE mustangs (how many a year he said he would make)
B - letting the Foose line die because his car assembler was called out on shady dealings would damage Chip's own reputation

This was about the time the Foose Coupe marketing was pulled from Unique and given to Hillbank USA.
Since it started becoming obvious that Unique Performance had mounting financial issues and couldn't secure production for the Foose Stallions elsewhere, the future of the Foose Stallions wasn't looking good.
At that time, the only un-delivered Stallions were a handful sitting at Saleen's Troy facility awaiting superchargers.
So pretty much Foose Stallion production ended at about 350 for 2007.
Getting nervous about the upheaval in Texas, Chip severed all ties with Unique Performance, even though it was basically just a licensing agreement, Chip has a stellar reputation in the industry as being a trusting guy.
I would think that Ford might pick up the Stallion design to have alongside the Foose F-150, but I haven't heard anything... that market is pretty stiff, but there may be a stockpile of spare parts that need to be used up.
So with all the madness going on, what are the odds of us being able to get the Foose Stallion bodykit on the market? It was impossible before, but I would think maybe Unique would unload their spares since they can't produce the car anymore.
