UH OHH i may have broken my 05
I drove my car around today and noticed ZERO problems. Nothing at all. I drove it for a long time and I couldnt get it to do anything strange. I dont think I am going to bring it in. Also because i am skeptical that they dont do anything at my dealership. I told them that there was a rattle and to check the lug nuts on the bell housing and they said they would check it out. The next day they said they are all there and none were loose. A few days ago when I was painting my calipers I decided to look under the car and whatdoya know...2 bolts are missing!!! I am extremely pissed at my dealership

From a stand still, accelerating semi-slowly while easing off the clutch the car has a slight shake almost like the tires are slipping. THis only happens sometimes. I drove it a little today and could only make it do it three times.

Like what a couple of people have said its a scorched flywheel, that will correct itself after (some) miles. The sudden high torque engagement from your missed shift let the clutch puck material "scorch" the surface of your flywheel in a couple of spots, I think the 05 clutch uses either a 4 or a 6 puck clutch plate (I think that is what I saw anyways). And what you are experiencing is where the pucks contacted the flywheel in only certain spots where the scorching is really bad. So now when you gently engage the clutch the pucks hit the rough "scorched" section then as they slip past and hit a smoother portion this change in friction on the flywheel is what sends the shuddering vibration through the driveline.
Just feather the clutch a few times under moderate power and you should be good to go.
(featherin allows the clutch pucks to rub over the surface of the flywheel with moderate pressure, building heat and scrubbing off the scorched areas of the wheel, trade off you loose some contact material on the clutch pucks and hack off a few thousand miles from when you normally might need to replace the clutch pak)

I hear ya about the service at some dealerships. Had an issue with my Escort years back - tooK it in, they replaced the alternator. kept hearing this sound afterwards. Obvious to anyone sitting in the car. Took it back gave them the car for the day. COme back next day, they say 'Nope - no sound - guys didn't hear anything." I was like, what? You're kidding me. Go out to the car to drive home, start it, turn on the radio.... and my friggin radio is set to a different station.
No wonder they couldn't hear anything - they were too busy listenign to the &^#%@^%$^@%^ RADIO!!!!!!! ( I still get furious just thinking about that again)
