I went to the dealership 2 weeks ago and ordered my mustang...well they told me 6-8 weeks for delivery...so i said ok that is fine....WELL I called today to see what is going on and they tell me it will be another 8 + weeks from now! After hearing that I BLEW UP! I said forget it!! Cancel my car I will find it myself...So after calling around to almost every dealership in Ontario I found my car!! I went down tonight and signed the papers and i am getting it tomorrow at 5 PM!!! This is the most exciting day I have ever had!!! I learned that if you want something done right...DO IT YOURSELF! Some dealerships around here don't give a poo about you when you are only 22 years old...They must think that we are not serious or something..But anyways the dealership i got it from did everything i wanted...took tons of money off and better yet, gave me free rust protection a bunch of free oil changes and coffee

All i have been doing since i signed was

I will post pics tomorrow when she is home safe and sound..And buy the way for everybody out there that is thinking of the engine push start button...I will let you know how it is on Monday when it gets installed

Congrats and excellent choice of action. The whole order a car deal to me is a waste of time. If you can find a car in stock that has 98% of what you want that you can be in in 2 days or less, why wait 10 weeks or more? It's rediculous.

GREAT JOB!

Here they are!

For me, it was worth waiting the 8 or 10 weeks (it should be in MONDAY!) to get EXACTLY what I wanted. Not 98%. Not 99%. But 100%!!! And it will have single digits on the clock when I pick it up (unless it got picked for special testing of course). It was worth the wait. Plus, it gave me plenty of time to do the research I wanted/needed to do.

When I ordered my car on 10/20 my dealer told me it would arrive in 6 weeks.
I got caught up in the IUP and spoiler shortages that resulted in a 10 week wait for the car.
I could have bought an 05 Mustang GT on the day I ordered mine (another dealership) but I would have had to pay $3500 over MSRP...other dealers were (and still are) marking up GTs $5000 and more over MSRP.

I got my car at X-Plan, and since nobody was accepting plans on GTs I was better off waiting for the car I ordered.

Mario, how do you have the IUP and the Interior Sport Apprearance Package? I think they have to have one or the other, not both

My sentiments exactly. I found a car in stock that was 100% of what I wanted.....so I was lucky.

I waited more than five months for my car. I had a chance to buy several that were nice. But either they were the wrong color or they didn't have the IUP or else they were way more money. I would rather have the one with my name on it that was just like I wanted than pay $27,000 for something that was close but no cigar.
