Two-Tone Tungsten: Is yours?

Mine is Screaming Yellow and there is a variation in the color between the bumpers and the body. Its unfortunatly NORMAL for there to be a slight difference. Different material... bumpers painted separately from the body... it happens. You could have them repainted... but even then I'm guessing they won't be a perfect match. My good friend has a Screaming Yellow Coupe and his also has a slight variation in color. I've also noticed it on a L.L. and on a Redfire. The only ones I've seen not have the variation were black...

EDIT: add a grand caravan, escape, corolla, Mazda 6, new beetle, civic, LS, pt cruiser, and a Concorde to the list.... Its cloudy so it shows up quite well today.
EDIT2: focus, crown vic, sebring, ram 1500, outback, wrx, trailblazer, RSX, darn....I smoke too much

I had this problem with my 2000 GT. My buddy who is a baody shop manager told me that the cars and bumpers are painted at seperate locations so there is some variance in the paint and they aren't exactly a perfect match. Look at most of your Hondas and Nissans and you can really see the difference there.
Too bad you didn't spot this at delivery, but I would go back and hem and haw with your dealer to get it fixed.

I can totally tell the difference when I enlarge the photo. And if it is because the the material difference, Ford should of corrected that somehow. The Satin Silver, or anyother paint for that matter doesn't do the two-toning...Why should this one? You're not being too picky. I'd be the same way, if your paying good money for your car, or in my case, my dream car...You should get everything done right.

My silver 2003 Accord Coupe had bumpers that where a shade off and Honda said it was normal. When it got hit and I had the bumpers replaced the autobody shop I went to actually matched the bumpers better.

After reading this forum got nervous about my 06 order with Tungsten paint. Went to the local dealer who had one on the lot, yes there is a color difference but only when you get real close, like everyone is saying not as much metallic on the bumpers. The interesting thing is every other car with metallic paint had the same problem. Was thinking maybe Ford doesn't bake their bumpers after painting, causing the metal flake to settle out?

Overall, I love Tungsten Grey and would order it again if I had the chance!
