People just can't stand that Ford can still hit a home run. Isn't it a sad day in America when a car like this can come along yet people will still sing the praises of Honda and others.

Sickening.

Bravo to you!! I agree totally! Thanks for saying it.

Steve McQueen.... Mustang? Some people just don't get it. More than likely they wouldn't interested in a 'stang anyway. Go buy a WRX or something.

Everyone here handles paper with pictures of dead people on it everyday. $$$$$$$$
It has to do with history. Steve McQueen is known, besides other movies, for driving that Bullitt like it was stolen.
A bit off topic, but look at all the music these days that was written or sung by someone else that is typically dead now! I think they are great commercials that are doing what they intended for them to do-create a buzz and drive sales. The only ones complaining about them are just haters! I just ignore the narrow/closed minded.

No need for TV guide. I have digital cable that has all the channels and descriptions at the push of a button.
Ahhh, don't worry....TV Guide still gets your money anyway....that digital tv guide? Your cable company actually pays TV Guide for it.

Nice, huh?

lol

Someone earilier mentioned Kiefer Sutherland. When has he endorsed Ford? I'm sure is show will earlier next year. 24, best show on television , will start the season with a 2 hour special, brought to you without commercial interruption by Ford. I'm hoping for a good 5 minute 05 Mustang ad at the beginning!
Yup, that's why you see CTU personnel driving around in Expeditions. Now wouldn't it be cool to see a kick-butt car chase in 24 USING an '05 Mustang!! We can hope!

Kiefer's done VOs for a number of the "We keeping thinking..." Ford commercials and the F-150 truck.

Blame the liberal, anti-American agenda!!!
Couldn't have put it better myself. They are attempting to destroy this country. :bang:
well if you conservatives would stop screwing everything up, we liberals wouldn't have anything to complain about now would we? [/b][/quote]
Amen, brother.

Over a thousand young men dead for fictional weapons of mass destruction...we're losing the war...AND we've spawned a new terrorist breeding ground and escalated Iraq's plunge towards civil war.

Well done. I wish the morons in this administration actually KNEW something about the history of that part of the world. Iraq is nowhere NEAR ready for a pluralistic, democratic state. It WILL fail and we'll be bogged down in the middle of a fractured terrorist state for the next decade, unless someone is smart enough to pull us out.

Welcome to Vietnam: Reloaded.

Now back to our regularly scheduled conversation...

Errr, one small comment before our return....and this is in no way a flame!

<stepping onto soapbox>
I'll say this...the reasons that were given were believed to be legitimate and backed up my multiple international intelligence networks. Be that as it may, the WMD weren't found. Now that we are there, we have to finish the job of helping to establish a government to run Iraq. It takes time, decades in some cases and I'm glad that you brought up Vietnam and our government not knowing what is going on in different parts of Asia.

Ho Chi Minh never wanted communism for Vietnam, he wanted to set up something more like the United States and he was very clear about that. He also stated that communism would never work in Vietnam. But our government at the time didn't want to recognize North Vietnam on the world stage, because they felt it would hurt relations with France. Communism never really took full hold in Vietnam until after Ho Chi Minh died. And then communism died in Vietnam, because it didn't work, it didn't adapt well with the people. Too bad we couldn't have just recognized them in the beginning and saved 58,000 lives.

"We are here to help the Vietnamese, because inside every gook there is an American trying to get out." - Pogue Col. - Full Metal Jacket

There is alot of the same thing going on in Iraq, where our politicans don't understand the culture. We, (the American government) think that everyone wants to be like us and that isn't true. If there was a movement in Iraq to remove Saddam, we should have supported it, but we shouldn't have had anything more than advisors there to help. The Iraqi people should have handled it.

That being said, both Democrats and Republicans need to own up to causing this mess. No one asked the right questions, everyone in Congress just followed by voting for the funding for this war. The Dems could have had OBL prior to 9-11. The Repub never should have stopped supporting OBL in Afganistan...or better yet, should never have gotten Saddam in power in the first place. Dems have done the same over the years, such as Kennedy in Vietnam.

I agree with every single one of your points, except one. And Rep and Dem both deserve a share of the blame when it comes to recent foreign policy (although Bush Admin stupidity is in a class by itself).

My one disagreement is in your remark about the reasons given being believed to be legitimate and backed up my multiple international intelligence networks. That's actually more fabrication than fact. The CIA made it VERY CLEAR prior to the war that they had no substantive proof Saddam had WMD. The Bush crowd didn't like that report and set about gathering their own "intelligence" which they bullied Colin Powell into presenting during that miserable excuse for an "intel" briefing at the Security Council. It wasn't exactly the smoking gun Adlai Stevenson laid out in that same chamber during the Cuban Missile Crisis, now was it?

I think most of us who are informed watched that transparent presentation by Powell and saw it for the sham it was. Extraordinary how most educated and intelligent people were reasonably certain Saddam did not possess WMD such that he was a clear and present danger, even as Powell was trying to sell that phoney intelligence to the world. And now, lo and behold, no weapons of mass destruction.

Iran, on the other hand...

And most of the 9|11 hijackers were Saudi, but we'll never touch them because of oil. Talk about a hypocritical and bungled foreign policy.

see i knew i didnt like VW owners

always semed to beatnick ish hippy like things

using a figure KNOWN for a movie in which the said character IS IN A MUSTANG

if they used ray charles id say its tacky
but mcqueen?? no

they did it with tonys mother on the sopranos and it was fine
if ford digitized MLK or JFK.. yes tacky

mcqueen...not tacky...more like..classic..goose bumps..if he were alive hed pimp this thing out like nobodys business =p

you and ur hitler mobiles
BAH!
Actually in the Sopranos, they only stuck her head on someone elses body. I thought it was pretty lame (her head was too small), and the scene wasnt even needed for the plotline... I thought that was kind of tacky also...

So, I guess we can agree to disagree. But as usual, if you disagree with the majority here, you are pretty much lynched.

And I dont drive a vw anymore, my hitler mobile was retired when I was much younger.

Some people do things with a closed minds or were not even around in the 60s to comprehend what this is all about! So sad. Guest not all are into cars and icons. Must have been a boring life! what a waste. Happy Trails!!
