This isn't a big issue, but the thread will get moved here anyway , sooooooo:
I hit my button, and the trunk clicks, but doesn't open. I wait a few seconds (or more depending on the last time I opened it) and it eventully pops and opens. Even if I use the key it does the same thing. If I want it open right away, I have to grab it and lift up.
I sounds and feels like it is getting stuck on the seal. I tried using silicone on the whole seal, but it made no difference. Does anybody have a suggestion on what I could use to lube the seal or keep it from gluing itself to the trunk?

I have the problem too. I have a workaround, though...once I pop the trunk with the key fob, I push down slightly on the trunk lid and that makes it open up. It's definitely sticking on something, but I don't really feel like taking it in for such a small problem.
Besides, if I took it in, there's always a chance they'll break something else while fixing it

Mine does it too...sometimes it takes 1 click...sometimes it takes 10 clicks...or pressure on the trunk.

So I guess the latch doesn't have enough power to break the seal. I wonder if some white grease would fix it?

A second before I was about to turn off my monitor, I saw this thread. This is EXACTLY what happens to me! I click as much as 10 times....and just stand there. It got really unbearable and I've decided to dealer it...after having to click it 10 times 2 days ago under pouring rain...
Good to see its not a big/unique problem.

Yep.. If you press down on it, it opens.

With mine it only has the rubber sticking to trunk problem if it's been closed for a week or more. I just left my trunk closed for 2 days, and it popped open.
Now the question I have is how far should the trunk "pop", when working mine opens up about 1/2" max. I'm assuming this is fine.

Is this a issue?
I mean if you click it, it opens right? It just doesn't pop up? If that is the problem then it's probably suction/vacuum together with the added weight ofthe spoiler. A little WD-40 or rubber dressing should help.
Hey, I'm used to old cars, where with spoilers, you'd need a prop rod to keep them up!

Yes I'm wondering the same thing, I never thought anything about this "problem" until I read this topic!

Ha, I never thought so many people would have the same problem. I'm going to look at mine tomorrow . . . see if something can be adjusted, or lubed. I'll post what I find.
I havn't taken mine to the dealer for anything yet, and don't want to for this. I have been having gas filling problems, but don't want them to mess with it. Then, today, gas goes in fine. I guess it stays away from the dealer.
I think anything that makes me look stupid while trying to use the car is a problem.

Negative, Sir. I don't think any of us are THAT affected by the heat coming out the car after a hard drive...
It clicks, and nothing happens. It just stays closed.

With yours is it only after it's closed for long periods? And is it sticking to the rubber? Maybe I have a different issue...

I think I may have fixed my problem.
I put a couple thin washers under the springs in the trunck lid. I threaded them out thinking maybe they where adjustable, but they didn't want to stay put unless they where tight, so I just put the washers in so I could tighten them down. I also moved the latch in the trunk just slightly downward (there is no real adjustment). The trunk sat just a tad too low anyway.
After sitting a little over a day, the trunk poped right open. If is still opens after a couple days, I think it will be declared 100% fixed.
I blame cheap design for this one.
