Trans Noise dealer won't fix
I took my '05 in for the noisy transmission I've been dealing with for sometime now. Also, for the popping noise from struts (TSB)
They do the TSB on the strut bearing and it still makes noise.
They told me couldn't duplicte the noise from the trans.
So I go for a ride with tech and he told me that noise was normal. This is my 4th GT and I know what normal is and this ain't it.
What now? Is there an 800 # to call? I'm not willing to accept that as normal.
Any help would be great.

I had my 05 in about 3 weeks ago for the tranny noise (sounds like a bad bearing, only in 5th and goes away after it's warmed up) and the work order stated the tech heard the noise, called Ford, and they said it's considered normal. Keep in mind this is the first Mustang (to my knowledge) to come from the factory with the Tremec unit. I believe the V6s retain the old Borg Warner T5.
I've got 2 years of warranty left so I'll just keep and ear on it and see what happens.

Actually, the Tremec has been in Mustangs for a few years now. I believe the 3650 is a carry over from '04 (atleast). I believe Ford will replace the transmission they know there are some defective ones out there but it has to be verified by a tech. In my situation the tech claims he doesn't hear anything. I had him drive with me and he said it was normal. IT'S NOT NORMAL. Sounds like there's rocks in there.

I called the 800 # and to my amazement got nowhere. The hotline reps told me since the dealer says it's normal than there's nothing they or I could do. I have to live with this transmission it that condition (not exact words). I as a cusomer have no recourse or "say" in the matter. Since the dealer with factory trained techs determined it to be "Normal" that's the end of it. They told me I could take it to another dealer if I wanted but they wouldn't influance or speak to the dealer. Basically I'd have to start over again.
I refuse to accept "live with it" as a solution. I've asked to pursue it further and they told me there is no "higher power"
My backs against the wall with this...I'm not imagining this, there's a TSB on this trans that applies to my car. I've driven another '05 and it's much quieter. What do I do now? I can't imagine Ford being this unwilling to help...this is amazing to me.

I had a chip in my window that the dealer refused to fix under warranty....keeping in mind that the chip was in a place where it had to be from the factory. They told me it might have been caused by a ring on a finger hitting it (it was on the top edge the passenger window). I filled out the the comment sheet with lots of negatives......the Ford center called me and basically told me they could do nothing, I asked them why are you calling me then? hey had no reasonable response.
