1 - The Vista's have been hitting the street for a bit now, so theres no hold. Looks great in pics, can't wait to see in person.

2 - I remember a rumour a while back about the Mach1 being 03 only, and the BOSS being an 04...which we all know didn't happen.. I could see a BOSS being pulled out 08+. 07 will have something else we've already heard about.... GT/CS
Superchargers..might be part of the issue we've heard about...
Ford being able to add these to GTs and still keeping the warranty...(at least if its installed by the dealer)

3 - Excellent, can't wait for the 18" bullitts, and the Ford intake cover

4 - IRS...uh... no...

5 - Doubt it about the power increase. If anything, it could be the SAE true numbers maybe?? The 05 may be underated, but not as much as one would think...(maybe 10hp...)

Congrats on your new pony!!!! Enjoy the miles of smiles your "06 will provide!!!

The plant tour sounds incredible!! I'm sure that was an awesome experience. Everyone else here is understandably jealous. I wonder, how many others here would like to experience the same and if we have sufficient numbers, how could we arrange for said tour? Certainly an idea worth exploring, I'd love to see the new 'Stangs being built!!

Unfortunately, it sounds like your tour guide provided more than actual facts. However, that was a once in a lifetime experience that I'm sure you will never forget.

from the ford vehicles web site.
The 2006 Mustang GT stampedes into the 300-hp arena. The 4.6-liter-aluminum V-8 has three-valve heads and cranks out 300 hp and 320 lb.-ft of torque

Still 300. Until we get our hands on them!

Congrats on you new pony.

Do you guys think the tour guide meant 2007 for the IRS and 25 HP Increase on the new stangs.

Since he said 06, maybe he meant the 07 cars that come out towards the end of the 2006 year. Sort of like you have the 2006 cars being delivered now in 05?

I remember someone on here mentioning a 20% increase in horsepower later on down the line for the stangs, could this be what he was referring to?

Maybe they will have an option for both IRS and a live axle on the cobra and then let that option tricle down into the GT.

Interesting info none the less.

Hey guys. Thanks for all the congrats on my new ride! All of you have good points and as I said, just relaying what I was told. Don't know that I would call anything fact yet, but nevertheless it is very interesting info in my opinion. Just have to wait and see.

I remember specifically though that he mentioned the hp increase for an 06 over an 05 GT. He also said that all 07 GT's would have IRS like the Cobra. At this point, I would put these in the bucket of rumors and wait.

As far as the tour goes, for all of you that asked, yes it was great and probably a limited experience! Mine was set up by a friend of friend at Ford. My suggestion to all of you based on what my dealer told me when I asked about these, is to ask your dealer to contact his regional sales rep. I was told that sometimes these can be arranged. I will tell you this though, the receptionist made a point to tell me that tours are not typical early in the model year and that mine "must have slipped through". I didn't care, just wanted in the door! Thanks for all the feedback!

Can anyone get in on a tour, or is it for special circumstances only. I'd like to go one day.
