I purchased a new Mustang GT in 1987 when they first came out. For a while
there it was kind of a rare car and it was really cool to be one of the first to have
one. 1 year later and they were really popular and the exclusivity was gone but
it was still cool to own and drive and yes personalize it!

I suspect the same is going to be true for our '05 Mustangs. I look at my car as
a work in progress and will continue to update it to my personal preference for years to come! That is what is so much fun about owning a 'Stang.

Stangs Rule!

Only not so heinous as these. They stop at the hood and below the trunk- no bumper coverage.

I am fixing to head out...
I hear he has a REAL gt500 in for custom gotta see it!

Mods can move to exterior mods if need be:

what they talked about(I love the men in my life love my car)
Ghost stripes in pearl
REAL hood pins
Side Vents like Eleanors
Chin Spoiler
Ducktail......

there 3 three in my town...........a black GT(same as im getting except he has upgrade rims) a red GT and a white v6 around the block from me. ive seen 3 on the road. one i followed outta the ford dealers cuz it was the one i previously test drove and i had to say goodbye. one passed our bus on the way to hockey and i saw one in traffic. they r still very limited and i wouldnt be suprised if they dont pop up til spring cuz winter really does stink......well in the north at least

I have only seen one on the road so far, and that was in BFE from where I live (Springtown for you DFW folks).

I should get a ride-a-long with Treadhead...he seems to see them everyday....

All you can do is mod your car before anyone else with the same colour does and get a lot of exposure. That way if someone copies you at least you and several other people will know that you were the first......but please, I beg all of you, do not turn the mustang into a ricer...leave that for the honda's, cavaliers, sunfire's, etc......

Not as many people mod there are as you guys are making it them out to be. At least not here in LA, I mean other then exhausts and minor things and not counting the ricers.

Plus if you bought a Ford for its exclusiveness I think you choose the wrong car. These days you’re going to have to spend 100K+. Around here SL500’s are so common it’s sick.

Honestly the only modded mustangs I have seen around here are San Francisco treats. LOTs of stripes, hence I wanna be a lil different.

My bday is coming up, so my husband goes out to a place I told him about and he told me about- comes home with it all planned out. I'm just gonna go a little to the left of norm- norm for an 05 around these parts being racing stripes.

Hey Altoid, check out the West Coast postings... Going to meet up on Jan 14th

There are about 6 in my area... I love seeing them around. Means I am not the only one with some good taste..

However, one of the reasons I am steering clear of stripes and flames is because everyone has them of some kind of another. Exterior is going to be one of kind, the Stang I have been wanting for 7 years.

I hav never been overly concerned with wether my car is unique or not. If it suits my style and I like it that is all that concerns me. I couldn't care less if there are a million just like mine or if nobody else on earth even likes the car.

I wish them both the best of luck in thier future together. They were made for each other.

Good one!
I wouldn't dream of getting in a whacking contest with the GT. [/b][/quote]
But yours is a Cobra....
