Today is Job 1!

Way to go 2MustangJohn! Are the V8's still rolling off the line? If so, then I would think that would squelch the rumors about problems with the heads? Thanks again but be careful. Don't get yourself fired for a couple of pictures.

John, just feeding the masses aren't you? Cool info. Were you talking an uncamo'd 6 vert? You need to get yourself a small digital camera but don't get into any trouble for us.

if he got caught with a digicam inside the plant he would surely get fired
The last thing anyone of us want is for 2MustangJohn to lose his job over a couple of pictures.
MustangJohn,
Anything you can tell us is fantastic, any pictures that you can take without risking your job are great too. As much as I would like to see pics of the convertible, it would be a shame for you to lose your job the way the guy who took the first de-camo'd Mustang pictures did. :nono:

Steve, I think that is exactly what I said. Maybe I wasn't clear enough. If he could (and was allowed to) use a digital camera instead of a phone with camera that would be the way to go. Just don't get into any trouble.

P.S. I keep worrying about any factory information someone post on here. I figure if Ford wanted anything to be known, there would be press releases and official pictures.

Looking closely at the pic the Red one in the foreground looks like it has the 18s, fan blade wheels that we were told were not available yet...picture isn't that clear though so perhaps I'm seeing things...

Just trying to emphasize that Ford would know immediately if proprietary information was posted on this site and they would act on it. They were very quick to ask Brad to take down the infamous white GT pics from a year ago.
He won't be allowed to use a digi, I know the few plants I have been to ban any camera-type device. Some places make you leave your cell at reception.

Paint should be smooth throughout. Orange peel is rippled paint.

I saw that but I can't "see" it. Does it pop and peel like Gm cars?
Thanks for the answer, appreciate it.

good morning, great pic John....Hey elenorsmine go while outside today and look at the paint on all the cars, note some are perfectly smooth and you can see yourself like looking in a mirror, if it is bumpy and you look distorted then you will see what looks like the exterior of an orange peel. nothing wrong with it, it just isn't as clean looking up close

Watch it with taking pictures John... and I hope that isn't your real name too. A simple picture is not worth loosing your job over.. especially in this ecomony. Ford doesn't take this stuff too lightly.

Thank Amy for your concern and I'll cool it a little now, but... those pics were taken from the employee's parking lot(lot C) where the building is closest to the lot and those cars are parked right out in the open for anyone to see, International Dr. is a public road. But I'll take it easy for sure. Just wish you guys could see up that hall there 'cause at the end of it was the v6 convert. (no camo) and its also the end of our line.

That's awesome John, I can't make out any satin silvers, but it is just sweet to see production stangs out in the open!!! Thanks for the pic. I hope mine will be comin out soon!!! Hopefully ford will get their act together and post some stuff of their own soon, not to mention prices!!!!!! Keep those beautiful babies a comin!!!

I sure hope my car doesn't have orange peel like those pics you posted Brad. My 97 had a little near one of the rear side windows but I took care of that easily enough. I think I will lose it if my new stang shows up covered in orange peel. BTW John, I do, I do see my Sonic Blue GT in the parking lot
