Titanium vs. Mineral Grey vs. Tungsten Silver
So in 2006 Mineral Grey is out and Titanium is in for color choices. How much of a difference is there between those two. Tungsten Silver in the 2006 GT looks awesome. Does Titanium look anything like it. Comments please. Here's the GT color.
are you serious? mineral grey is out?? wow! dats is horrible news.
Mineral grey is the BEST color in my opinion...

Simply based on the pic's for Tungsten and Titanium, personally I have to say I like the Tungsten best. The MG and Titanium are a push (i.e., like them both). Although once I saw Titanium in person I may not like it as much as the MG since it may not be quite as dark as MG.
Plus I may be biased about the Tungsten from the picture as the Ford GT is such an awesome "canvas" that any color looks totally awesome on it.

They are all great colors. Ford has done a good job. I think if you look at the colors in this order:
Mineral Gray
Titanium Gray
Tungsten Silver
Satin Silver
you will get two scales. First is darkest to lightest, in that order. Second is most gold-tone added to least (i.e. none) in that order.
So, to my eye, the MG is the "earthiest" with an almost brown quality in some lights and is also the darkest gray of the bunch. The TG has some gold tone, but is more gray than brown and is lighter than the MG (but darker than the SS) - I really like this color. The TS is simply a stunning color - my favorite of the bunch. TS is a richer, deeper silver that looks almost liquid on the GT photos. The SS is a nice, bright and pure silver - no lean to either the gold or blue side.
I got the SS since there was no TS at the time (and most likely won't be). But I had always intended to repaint the car, so now I can use TS as the target. I agree with RMac. Titanium is great and I would've bought that, but I couldn't wait 'til '06. However, I also agree with WaldenNYC - I think that Titanium (which I think he meant) is a bit close to silver. They should've offered a nice gunmetal or charcoal if they wanted to retire MG.

i for one will not miss mg at all and greatly approve of fords idea
MG ROCKS!
There is NONE greater.
Yet I for one will NOT miss it. I can go to the garage & look at it anytime I want
However if I was getting the 06 over the 05 & MG wasn't avabile I would have to go for TG. Defiently a second choice if it & MG were ever offered together. JMO.

I think the Tungsten is sharp, but it doesn't seem to have the metalflake that Titanium has. Either of them are an improvement over Satin, which is too light. In most lighting, the car looks washed out. My '96 GT was silver and it was hard to get a good picture of it; it looked nearly white in every light!
All of these colors have one thing in common; they compliment the lines of the car. In most cases, they help the car look as if it's been chiseled from a block of aluminum, like sculpture. That's why I like them. However, I decided to "go green" this time 'round. Just a change of pace. It seems all of my recent cars were either silver or blue.
What color are you leaning towards?
