Are we limited to going to the dealer for tire rotation and new tires?

I know now when I go to America's tire I'm paying something like $3 or $4 per stem. Are these are reusable or are we going to be stuck paying something like $16 per stem?

does anybody think that they might actually measure the real pressure or do you think that they only give you a good/bad reading.

maybe could be used in conjunction with runflats?

I would'a thought they might have used a piezo(sic) electric generator? but in 7 to 10 years the aftermarket should be rife with reman pressure moniters.

Yes they could be used with EMT's, but you dont want to. EMT's at the very least have a much stiffer sidewall (unless its Michelin's PAX system) so it wipes the ride out, also EMT's may be heavier. which is a no no when it comes to upsprung weight.

Also funny thing about plain old rubber valvestems. they are only 15 to 25 cent per stem. A bulk box runs like 90 bucks for 500. Now figure the actual labor time invovled installing a valvestem. Its like 10 seconds MAX! so lets see, 25 cents for the stem, okay 50 cents for a stem @ 100 % profit and 2.50 per 10 seconds of labor.... so .... ..... Amazing 900.00 bucks an hour to install a 25 cent stem.

and when I say installed, I mean valvestem hole lubed, valvestem lubed and inserted by hand and drawn through with a puller.
