I'm not planning on ordering for a few months, so hopefully these supply issues will be worked out by then.

I just wondered, for those who have ordered new cars before, what was the timetable from when you ordered to when the car arrived.

The general consensus I've heard from dealers seems to be 4-6 weeks. I want my car to arrive in April, so I'm just wondering when I should order.

 

Order in early Feb.
4-6 weeks is a little low.
That might not be true 1Q 2005, but it is now.
I ordered 10/4 and am expecting it 1st-2nd week Dec.

 

The normal turn around is about 6-8 weeks. This of course is also effected by allocation, commodities, etc..

 

Ordered mine 9-15, received 11-15. Owner of the dealership commented (on 11-16) "they are starting to come in in seven weeks now". I would feel safe figuring eight weeks and if it came in a week early, great!

 

i just ordered mine yesterday, i'm figuring it wont be here till feb or so... considering the holidays... i'm sure Ford shuts down for at least a week or so right?

 

I ordered the 27th of September and got it two days ago.

 

7 Weeks right on the nose for my car. Was originally told 8 to 12 weeks. They are starting to work out some of the kinks. The earliest delivery time I have heard from order to actually receiving has been 6 weeks.

I ordered my GT on Oct. 8 and it came in on Nov. 16th. I will be picking it up in about 2 hours. Then I will drive around for the next 48 - 72 hours looking like this -- .

 

Ordered Sept 9th still hasn't arrived and it wasn't one of the early cars on hold either.

 

I pre-ordered back in may so what I say may not count. Anyways My car was built 2 days ago and I was told it will arrive next Friday or no later than Dec 3rd.

 

Ordered 09/15, should deliver on 11/26...
