I have a ticking under my hood. It's been there for a bit and I'm a little concerned and don't know whether I should be. Some people have said it could be an exhaust leak. Others say it could be injectors. Others say it could be lifters. Any thoughts. It doesn't go away when I run it at 2500 rpm. It's loud enough that I can hear it when the hood is down. But it has been there for a while. Any ideas?

Yep it could be any of those things, and there are threads on here with details of all the various ticking sounds, and ways to isolate them to determine the cause
