The Ford website "Search Inventory" function shows that there are two 05 Stangs at each of the two dealers closest to me.

I just called one of those dealers a couple of days ago, and he said he thought it would be a few weeks before they got anything.

I also left my name and number in case he found out anything new.

So, is the Ford website really telling the truth? It says that they update the inventory list daily, but my theory is that the ones that Ford says the dealer has are just cars which are allocated to them, but not necessarily physically there.

I think I'll jump on my motorcycle and go have a look-see.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

They can still be in transit and show up as "at the dealer".

There are allegedly seven at one dealer, and four at another according to ford direct. In real life they are not there. It just so happens one of them is the exact one I want.
It seems here, the little rip off dealers are getting them before the bigger volume dealers. Then the little rip off dealers turn around and sell for wayyyyyyy too much $$$$$$. What a waste.... There she sits on the showroom floor, in her lime green glory and some fool is gonna drive her home.

there was a guy on here that posted that Borgman Ford in Grand Rapids, MI has one. Thats not too far from Lansing Shea, you might want to take a road trip up there some time :drive:

In inquiring to one of the dealers that supposedly has an 05, here was their reply:

"We recieved our first 2005 GT on Saturday. It is a Red one. It will be available for sale on the 29th of October. At this time, we are selling the car at MSRP, and not a A, Z or X plan pricing.

I will keep you informed, as the inventory of the new Mustangs become more avialable.

Thanks again for your request.

This is bull!!! I'm trying very hard not to let loose some expletives here! I talked to these guys months ago and they said my Z plan would be good! Also, if they got the Stang 3 days ago (which might just be BS), then why do they need 2 weeks before it is ready for sale?

Of course, maybe this is just because this is the car they have and they will still honor my Z plan when I order one. Still bugs me though.
