Is there a factory shutdown?

Is there a factory shutdown around July 4? If so what are the dates, and do they continue to ship during that period? I was 'gate released' on 6/18 but haven't heard anything since. I'm hoping it is already in transit but I don't know. Trying to figure out how much longer it might be before it ships if it hasn't already.

I'm sure it's shipped by now. The system likely isn't current. Have you talked to your dealer. I'll bet they have it. My car was here about 5 days after it was released from the VPC.

All Ford plants close starting Monday for 2 weeks, there will continue to be action as for shipping except for holiday and all. Most plants clear their lots for repairs on the pavement when the employees are on vacation.

Thanks -- I spoke to the dealer. He said it has shipped and they expect it any day. It didn't get there in today's delivery so he said probably Monday.

They're probably busy shaking it down on the test track next to the plant to make sure the addition of the stripes didn't cause any new rattles.

Congrats!

You should have your new car in time for the forth of Jult! You can park some where with the top down and watch the fireworks!

Thanks -- its been a long time coming. I first ordered in Sep-06, postponed a couple months later because it wasn't even scheduled and I didn't want to start paying for it in the middle of winter, then put it in again mid-Jan. I guess the dealer had no allocation (or just putzed around) because it didn't start moving until early May. This despite being told "8-10 weeks" both times. In the end I guess it turned out well because the incentives got a little better. I'll still have the rest of the Summer and the Fall to enjoy it. I think the Fall is the best time for a vert anyway in these parts.

Wow, that's a long time to wait! You didn't find what you wanted on a Dealer's lot?
