Is there demand for 400,000 Stangs a year?

I don't think that there is THAT much demand. Even if there was, Ford would not want to 'dilute' the market with mustangs, it would most likely keep the production at a reasonable level so as to keep interest high for the following years.

It'll be interesting to see what final production #'s are for the '05 run. Alot of customers are not willing to accept a watered down version of the IUP, and will wait patiently until Ford gives a pkg. that is closer to the full IUP than the 18R (sport appearance pkg.).

Camrys and Accords sell those kinds of numbers,

The estimated numbers of 180,000 are very strong for a 2-seater sports car

If the demand were that high, the resale value would be a little better. Like a Toyota Tacoma, you can buy it new, put 20,000 miles on it and sell it for the same price you paid for it
