I am 20. I want an 05 GT BLACK more than anyting, but I may get stuck with a V6. I have a flawless driving record;however, the insurance on a GT may be just too much.

and parents wonder why kids today are slackers and have no respect for things
and other peoples things

you never appreciate things the same way until u busted ur hiney and earned it

u can never say its your car.. its daddy's car..you just drive it.

the feeling of earning it over whining for it..you can hold you head that much higher

theres a 19 yr old around that drives his porsche SUV like he earned it ..never worked a day..loser
Way to judge me, I work my hiney off in school, and you have no idea who I am either. I believe I said someone would say something like this on the first or second page of this thread. How about busting my hiney to get into Boston College, is that good enough for you? I know a lot of spoiled rich kids get nice cars but I consider myself fortunate to be in my situation. Yes I am spoiled, doesn't mean I don't appreciate it. Hey at least I'm not getting a Honda and ricing it out.

edit: ha, it put hiney in

I'm 25 and I will be driving my 26 year old 78 Mustang II mach 1 until I can get an 05 for under 2 grand. I suspect that will be sometime in the year 2014. I need a winter car!

Is there anyone else out there who has been driving the same car for the past 10 years? I went to my 5 year highschool reunion and everyone recognized me, I was driving the same car I had when I turned 16! And it still has the quadrasonic 8-track player!

I'll be 21 in February, and I plan to buy an '05 GT when the incentives/rebates start coming out. I've been tempted to just forget the wait and get a '05 V6 now, but I'd be disappointed with that decision in the end.

I'm 21 and have an '05 GT Satin Silver with Red Leather interior on order. It was suppose to be in on the 12th, so they are a little late. Any day now. My dad and I restored a '68 with a 302, it has about 325 ponys, 4-speed, 3.55s. So I'm eager to see how my '05 will stack up against it.

im 17 and been workin like crazy and it pays off because im getting a sick car at the age of 18. unfortunately us teens r judges nowadays because most of us have stuff handed to us. then their are the very few (myself included) who know that if they sacrifice sitting around with friends and instead working that we can really legitimately afford this car........and im dam proud of it and i dont even have it. people ask what i drive and i tell them i will be driving a 2005 mustang GT......i already tested it the parents love it sooo i can finally have the car I WANT. and its ALL MINE........it pays off

I'll admit myself that I am quite spoiled too, but I agree with jcopin. I understand that you work your butt off in school, but a brand new 05 Mustang as a present? I worked my butt off in school too, but my parents are not going out and buying me a brand new car(especially a Mustang). I also worked my butt off at my job to save like crazy in order for me to gave a good down payment on the car. So instead of my parents spoiling me by buying me a new car, they wanted me to learn responsibility ... and that's exactly what I'm doing on February when I buy a 05 Mustang.

Like jcopin said "you can never say its your car .. its daddy's car .. you just drive it." Which is the truth. It's NOT your car, it's your dad's. Everything is in his name, NOT yours.

that's not always true though. I had friends in High School that paid their own car payments but a parent had to sign the contract cause at 17 you basiclly have no credit. Never putting a dime down for your car and it not being under your name can be two wildy different things
