If this car really does do low 5s, it is likely that this driver was feeling a more refined ride rather than power problems. Always room for improvement, but a good refined chasis setup can give the feeling a car has less power than it really does. In the end, the track numbers are the tell all.

Kev, yeah they are, but I was just looking at the basic car that I'd get
I guess a lot of salespeople here are saying it will start in the 40k range, which obviously it will not (Mach1 runs 38,000 Canadian)

Just as a point to look at...the most OPTIONED out Canadian GT (everything, including Mach1000, IUP, wheel upgrade, Auto Tranny, etc)
is 37,860+tax (ac tax and delivery are included in the 37,860)

Then most likely TC was on. You probably did a burnout that kept TC from engaging but 1-2 shift caught it. Ive seen in the video the car break traction in second after a shift and cary it up the block 90-100'
Thai-Tang said that the new T/C system will allow for burnouts. Its supposed to be smarter than the last and it knows when you're having some fun. [/b][/quote]
yeah, the 04 system is definitely not for fun. drop it at 2000 and it kicks on. stinks when it happens. but i like having it on there since my wife drives the car

Doogz did you get the impression that the car needs an aftermarket shifter?
