Does anyone else dread taking their car in as much as I do? I have a small list of things I need to have checked but just cant bring myself to take it in. who knows what they will mess up when they get their hands on it. I took mine into one of the local dealers and they nicked the paint (yes I made them fix it). After that i went to another dealer, problem with them being my car is lowered and you cant get it out of the service area without it scraping. To bad these things cant fix themselves.

Yeah, it bothers me when a Ford dealer doesn't service our cars properly. For example, I recently took my car in for its first oil change at about 1800 miles. I went to the dealer I bought it from because they give oil changes at special prices for anyone who purchased a car from them. Well, they overfilled the oil by about 1 1/2 quarts. I found out when I checked my oil later in the day in my garage. So I had to drive all the way back to the dealer (about a 22 mile round trip drive) to have them drain out the excess. You'd think they would know how much oil to put in the car and secondly you'd think that they would check it properly to ensure it is not overfilled!! I will drive my car into a ditch before I take it back to EM for service again(had mine in for all kinds of things "fixed" but still broken)......and I am boycotting Long screwus.

I would drive the extra 30 minutes to town and country- they are the best all around.

I feel sorry for you guys that have to deal with crappy service departments. My dealer is a small town dealer. I call the service manager, advisors, parts manager, and service techs by first name. They know how picky I am about my cars, and always treat them like they belonged to the boss.
