Is It Supposed To Be Like That?
I just found out there might be a missing panel on the passenger side, under the glove compartment. Look at the pics. There's some kind of white piece of foam dangling and all kind of unprotected wires... Is the panel missing or are you just not supposed to be looking there. I also found out there was some big scratch on the passenger seat's leather. I took delivery of my Mustang a month ago and the reason I didn't noticed this before today is that I never sat in the passenger seat and that the scratch seems to have been repaired or hidden with some kind of adhesive (this is why I'm certain it was scratched at the dealership). What would you do in this situation. I can't obviously have the dealer replace the seat! I'm not even sure I can have him admit that the scratch was done before delivery...
The thing that's bothering me the most is the white piece of foam dangling there... Hmmm... Not sure that's the way Ford is going to reshine its image. It's like dusting a room and hiding the dirt under the carpet!
As far as the "blemished" leather, if this is a factory defect in the leather, it should be covered. Any decent dealer should be able to handle that for you. Just make sure you keep referring to it as a factory blemish not damage.

If it is damaged, it's your word against theirs as to who damaged it. If they decide you damaged it, you're out of luck. If it's a factory blemish in the leather it has to be covered by warranty.
About the "missing" panel:
It's nice to know that underneath all the fancy satin aluminum dash panels, we're still driving a Ford.
As far as the leather, they may have Leather Medic or some similar company repair it. I had my dealer repair a hole in my boat's vinyl, you can't tell anything was ever wrong. No sign of repair, previous damage, etc. It looks like the pad was replaced. However, I had the vinyl in my Jeep crack and tear due to wear, the dealer replaced the whole seat free of charge. Now you get to find out how good your dealer is.
Good luck.

Sounds logical Karpro. But what do you think they can do? Replace the seat?
