That's good to here, I might have gone with the Edlebrock if Brenspeed was selling them when I got mine.

+1 on the Saleen Kits from Brenspeed. I had a stage 2 and I was putting down 412 at the wheels on a very conservative tune from Brenspeed. The low end torque was a blast. Man I miss my Mustang.

So get a pulley that allows you to run 6 lbs and you'll be good to go with the Roush TVS.

Definitely a high quote man.

I had a shop do mine, but only because it was a used blower and I don't have enough experience to know if something was screwed up... which it was so it was good that I wasn't trying to deal with it alone.

With a new kit, I'd do it myself... the instructions are very straightforward and everything is sealed in little baggies so you don't miss a step. (This is for a Saleen blower)

About your 400 hp goal... I know it's been said before (it was said to me) but don't be surprised if you get bored and want to turn up the wick.

I'm at 440 and I got bored and went to a smaller pulley... I promptly fried my clutch the next day.

After a series of aftermarket clutches that I didn't like I put the larger pulley back on and went back to a stock clutch... believe me the temptation WILL be there.

I'm happy at 440 again with my stock clutch

Had a Procharger P1SC on the car, before going turbo. Very nice...zero issues (on stock vehicle at that time), running 9lbs boost.

i myself am going to go with a kenne bell, not sure if it will be the 2.6 or the mammoth

i know it was mentioned before but what kind of power can these stock 3v heads handle? i dont really believe they are worth the money, i just dont know if its necessary to include in my future build.

It's safe to say that everyone loves their superchargers, regardless of which brand/kit they have. There really aren't any bad ones one the market, so get the one that fits your budget and driving style best.

Regarding Kenne Bell.

Local mate has one. He's had it on his 05GT for a long time...so don't know which model it is, other than it's a few years old...was there a 2.4L maybe, a few years back?

Over time he has built his motor, rearend, fuel system...blah blah blah. His best time was 11.8. So he bought my 4r70w automatic with transbrake (we just switched to a glide). With a new pump gas tune (same tuner for my car) at 21 lbs boost, first run about 6 weeks ago...mid tens. Finished up that evening with 10.3 @ 137 mph. This is launching off idle (not transbrake) at 600 rwhp and 500 rwtq.

I know the OP is not interested in that type of performance, but example of what an old KB can do with the right build and tune. Now he has to cage his car or slow down...lol. He did shred the trutrac that evening and needed slicks to launch off the transbrake.

I agree, I've only seen one or two folks ever have bad things to say about going FI... and those scenarios seemed to be down to faulty units or bad customer service.
