I have a V6 and it runs fine, but whenever I stop the car and get out it smells like gas. The smell is very strong and is getting into my house through the garage. I'm taking it in to have it looked at tomorrow. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be wrong.

I'd keep the car outside tonight, and get it to the dealer as soon as you can. Don't mess with gas fumes in the garage or house.

Could be that or a leaky o-ring on the fuel rail.

Just take a candle and walk around your car until it ignites the gas. Then you will know where it is coming from.

Yeah, you have to be careful. Sometimes people take that stuff seriously.

LOL. I'm not stupid enough to actually try that. Thanks for the ideas. Keep 'em comin'. The mechanic that I'm taking it to at the dealership thinks that it may have a bad sensor, and is giving it too much gas.

Well, I got it looked at and turns out that the fuel line was loose where it connects to the filter underneath the driver side door and it was leaking gas. But it's fixed now, so it's all good.
