Yes i've posted before on an antifreeze smell.. That has seemed to have disappeared... but now if i drive the car hard.. It seems to have a really hot smell? is this normal?

 

How old is it and how many miles?

 

Is it cold where you are ? did a pet get up in your under carrige ? or maybe a hose up against the exhaust manifold ? go on what you think the smell may be all in all it should be under warrenty call your customer care and explain it .

 

15,000 Miles and Been Driving it since May. I don't mean like a strong hasty smell... It has been about 45 here fro the past few weeks. The Smell is of something in the engine bay really hot but she's not over heating...

 

Mine does the same thing... has about 12K miles. even after just normal drive home. No fluid on the ground under the car or steam from under the hood. But, not all the time either, very random.

 

could be the smell of hot dirt somewhere under the hood. I ge the burnt rubber smell sometimes But sure, hot rubber parts, hot brakes, clutches, plastics, etc will have a little odor after a drive some times.
