The car in the pictures in this ebay ad looks like orthguy's car. But the description
doesn't match. Just wondering if they are using pics of his car w/o him knowing??

I love the fact he says they are 12" stripes.....what a loser.

 

35 bucks for these stripes? Seems kind of cheap.. I love how he steals other peoples photos.

 

if that is the guy that Orthoguy bought the stripes from, then I doubt it is a problem. If it is someone else pushing his own product, then I would be concerned

 

OrthoGuy bought/had installed his stripes from Bryan Quinn. Bryan sells real
quality stripes which cost a lot more money. (and they are 10" not 12").

 

Actually they are 10 3/4"

I checked another link of that guys. He has pics of tons of cars, even ones from SEMA that he is plugging as his own.

"quality" stripes ? yes the 7 years are quality - btu the $316 is WAY too over priced. The vinyl is much cheaper.

Now, the stuff on ebay (i called him) is one strip, not cut into pieces like Bryan Quinns. But that should not account for the major cost difference.

Or perhaps orthoguy should send ebay an email saying the seller is advertising someone else's product as his own.

 

eBay won't do anything at first.. if at all.

It's best to send the seller an email and work it out that way.. and THEN contact eBay if nothing is done.

If this even bothers orthoguy. Dunno.

A seller used a picture of a local guys camaro and said it was his car.. the real owner of the Camaro didn't really care much that he was using his picture.

 

Someone's going to be real disappointed if they think their stripes are going to look as good as Orthoguy's!

 

Holy crap! I was going to get stripes done on my car by this guy! If he is biting off of everyone else's pics, there is NO WAY I will go with him! That is mos def Orthoguy's ride. The seller and I were going to meet up and do the stripes together....I need to see some pics of his other stuff IN PERSON! This needs to be resolved, pronto...Orthoguy, email him and see what's up.

 

Unfortunately this is not a new tactic for eBay. I used to sell a lot of stuff on there, and had to start putting my username on my pictures so people wouldn't steal them and use them for their own products.

 

OK I talked to him and he said that he was given permission from a friend of Orthoguys in MI to advertise. He has since pulled the pics until he speaks directly to Orthoguy. He was just using them to model stripes in general, however misleading that may be, because he has no '05 to show what stripes would look like on.

 

Just checked. He did pull them. Good for him. Maybe he's worth doing business with afterall.
