Well, I got in my stang and turned on the parking lights, then I put in the key and turned it to start but I did not start it. The oil pressure gauge started high then moved all the way to low. That sounds about right because the engine is not running. Then I started the car. The message center blinks "oil pressure low" and the oil gauge turns red and begins to rise. It gets half way and the gauge turns blue again. I don't think there is really an oil pressure problem. But I would feel better if this happened on anyone else's stang also. I would appreciate it if someone could try it and let me know. Thanks.

It may just be a delay in the sending unit. That's why i wanted to see if anyone else's stang did it. If it is only mine, then I'll take it in to the dealer. Thanks.

my car does it too sometimes when i start it

I just start the car and it does exactly what you say and then the gauge seems to wake up and the warning goes away. I was going to complain to my dealer about it.

I think I'll ask them to look at it when I take it in for the strut TSB. Maybe they'll replace the sending unit. Don't know.
