Stopped by dealer today to see a V6 convertible. Premium V6, Redfire with the light gray interior, IUP and sport appearance package. They were marking it up $1000 over sticker. :notnice:

Asked the dealer how far down the order list I am. There are 10 customer cars and 4 dealer stock cars that have been on order longer than mine. She said the customer cars have a higher priority and would be built first. The oldest customer order was mid January. She said they have been picking up maybe one order a week, so it could be another 10 weeks before I even get a VIN!!! :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

They had a meeting with the district manager last week. According to the DM, our district was earmarked 11 Mustangs last week, and there are 33 dealers in the district. Sometimes I wonder if they really want to sell this car.

So I asked her if she knows what the 2006 colors look like, just in case. Maybe I will end up with the first 06 GT in town, just in time to put it in the garage for next winter.

 

Local dealer in northern California wants $3995 over MSRP!!!! Brings the cost of the car BEFORE tax and license to $36665. These Ford salespeople must feel like they are working at the BMW dealership.
