According to the article I just read at lunchtime in 5.0 mag, by Uncle Robin Lawrence, his is the 1st '05 in the 9's, the stock hood only weighs 25 lbs. He said most aftermarket hoods weigh more than that.
Other things he likes were; the chasis being 6" longer giving it a 49/51 weight split, lower/wider for more stability, more rake to the windsheild and a more aerodynamic rear window, and the fact that the engine frame rails are 4" wider than before. To quote him "dropping a BOSS 429 in there would be NO problem".

Light enough to blow off at high speeds.

Looks like it but it won't. OTherwise, Ford would be in with some major lawsuits or recalls

5R3Z-16612-AA, Ford says with box 48 lbs, box probably weighs 5 lbs.

Cool - thanks guys!

Just trying to do a little 'weight math' - the word I got from RK Sport is that the California Dream hood is 40 lbs.
