squeeky seats

I only have 1,000 miles on my stang now and I already have squeeks. The one that bothers me the most is the driver's seat squeeks like crazy. It does it every time I got over a bump or accelerate fast, esspecialy on bumpy roads. Does anyone else have this problem? If so do you know how to fix it, or will the dealership fix it for me if I take it in? It's driving me CRAZY!! [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banghead.gif[/img]

I just got a new Stang about 3 weeks ago...600 miles and I am having major issues with squeaks and vibrations from the left /driver's side of the car [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif[/img] ...and a wierd rattle coming from the front of the car after accelerating past 60 mph. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smilies23.gif[/img] I am quite frustrated as I FINALLY took the plunge and bought the car I've admired for so long! [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif[/img] I called the dealer today to make an appointment and hopefully they will be able to fix it.

I'm not sure were your squeek is coming from, but the 99 GT I owned had to have the seat back frame replaced twice for the same problem. When I would lean back, the seat would creak like an old rocker.

I'd try to at least isolate the squeek in the seat before taking the car to the dealer by shifting your weight around in the seat and see if it makes any noise.

The dealer fixed a squeek in the middle of the drivers seat back for me.

My seat squeaks pretty bad. I thought it was just because I'm a lard hiney. The squeak seems to depend on the vertical position of the seat using the motor controls. The seat can squeak, but when I move the seat around it stops. I'll wait until the spring to bring it in.

I wonder if a manual seat track from the passenger side would fit on the driver's side seat. Hmmm.

Yeah when it first started to get cold I noticed my drivers seat sqeeking though like dustin said if you move it around it stops, lubrication issue maybe?

My passenger seat squeaks when no one is sitting in it and I'm driving on crappy roads. If I put my right hand on the side back support of the seat with a little pressure it stops. Sounds like a lose spring or something. Too cold to mess with it now...
