I rented a 05 mustang convertible (with 4K on it) and was surprised to hear so many squeeks and rattles, is this normal ?
I was considering buying a convertible as a second car for the summers, but under the circumstances I think I would prefer a coupe.

I generally liked the car but I don't see a huge difference with the previous model, one thing is for sure, the V6 with the automatic transmission is no fun !

 

I only have 2K miles on my vert but I haven't had any problems with squeaks and rattles. I love my car.

 

I have about 3500 miles on mine and I haven't noticed any noises.

 

I have 4900 miles on my convertible with no rattles or squeeks. Sounds good and I Love it.

 

It's a rental, maybe thats why. I know how I drove the one I rented. It was a weekend test drive with no salesman in the car..You can guess the rest.

 

Only had mine 3 weeks, but rock solid so far. I'd have to agree with Shutter. I'm sure rental has something to do with the rattles.
