Run flat tires weigh so much more than a standard tire. Plus the fact its rotational weight. Dropping a spare in the trunk of a GT500 and puting non runflat tires on it would gain it some in the 1/4. Of course if you were in the strip the spare would be out reguardless.
Take the runflats off and lose about 15 pounds off the front, and about 16 pounds off the rear. 62 lbs of rotational weight gone! Save on cheaper tires too.


*I did not know the car ran the EMT tires. Interesting
