Bling is in the new dictionary so yes, it is a real word. To go on and say that 17-18" rims are more bling and then state that some people are ignorant makes me wonder what you are talking about. How are 17" bullits, that have been around for years, more bling than the 18" fanblades? You make it sound that things can only be "bling" if they are "chrome". Wouldn't that be ignorant?
First off, i did not say they were bling, i said that if the 17-18" CHROME 2005 bullits (not the ones from years ago, sorry i didnt mention that part) and the 2006 fanblades were judged by people who actually know the real meaning the word is used for, they would consider the chrome bullits to be more bling.

And i also did not say that all things have to be chrome to be considered bling. I said rims on cars would have to be chrome to be even close to bling. Have u ever seen wheels that werent chrome that were bling?

I want some shiney chrome wheels that when looked at you'll need sunglasses, but I also want those rims to say PERFORMANCE, and make the car look like it's doing warp 9 when it's standing still. Those rims need to "fit" the '05 and compliment the automobile without that "got a new set of rims" look. I'm still narrowing an already short list of what might fit the bill. When I decide I'll post the pictures and if some people say its bling-bling then bling-bling it will be. heck, truth be told, no matter what color, rims, or stripes the 2005/6 Mustang is bling-bling all by itself.
Can I get an amen!

Well, I'll fess up and say that I thought they were blingish a year ago when all we saw were the chrome ones that were flying around in all the marketing materials.

The polished one's on the show car looked better.

In the end the way they did them with the painted centers turned out great. They really have to be seen in person to be appreciated, pictures just don't do it justice.

I think both the chrome fanblades and the ones they have for the 06 look great. And haveing wheels on ur car that may be considered blingy is not an insult. Its sopposed to be a good thing. And the rappers who created the word dont even use it anymore cuz of how everyone misunderstood it.

A phrase meaning expensive diamond and/or platinum jewelery including watches, earrings, chains, rims, rings, teeth, and just about anything else you can think of. Created by The Cash Money Millionaires in theyre song "Bling-Bling"

1999 - 2002
"Bling bling
Everytime I come around yo city
Bling bling
Pinky ring worth about fifty
Bling bling
Everytime I buy a new ride
Bling bling
Lorenzos on Yokahama tires
Bling bling"
Its just the kind of "bling" your talking about. People shouldent think blingy things are ugly, Its depends on what your talking about. Their are rims that are ugly and their are rims that look good. Its called opinion. Some people think rims are bling (good) some people think its ugly. If you think bling is ugly then i guess every kind of jewelery you have is ugly.

Thats what some people are ignorant about. If you saw someone go up to a car and say how their wheels were blingy as an insult and hes wearing a fancy rolex watch, their insulting themselves.

The fanblades weren't exactly designed to improve performance but is certainly a concrete curb's favorite.

But I agree with my fellow members, they aren't bling-bling.

They are ghetto-ghetto.

Is bling along the same lines as rice?
If so, they are not bling and certainly not ghetto.

In some way, yes. Rice is getting an import car and paying more money on the look then the actual performance of the car. And to people that like the old muscle car look, rice would look tacky to them. But its not the same as bling cuz ricers dont use expensive chrome rims, they put huge wings and underbody lights and stuff like that. That is not bling.

Bling for cars is kind of the same thing. If they paid a lot of money for the rims instead of the performance of the car. But again, the people who like the old muscle car look would think most chrome rims were ugly. But people who are not aware of the old muscle car look would think chrome rims would look blingy (good)

Funny you posted about this......I noticed the resembleance quite a while back. Pretty neat eh? Just when I thought they didn't have any real connection to the mustang's heritage

Drop it, Bling is not even a word.

They look great, not a minivan looking wheel, or an all to common bullit wheel. Ill take a set please.
