Hate to burst your bubble but my 05 GT has been back to the dealership 5 times already (bought it in March) for various clunks, pops and TSBs. It's going in soon for the upper strut bearing TSB... if the car wasn't so nice, I'd have given up on it by now!
That's what people gamble on when they purchase first year totally re-modeled cars. It happens. It's the price you pay for having the joys of owning a new head-turning vehicle. Unfortunately you got a bad one. Some people don't have any problems with their '05. That's why when the new '07 Cobra GT500s come out, I will not be tempted to get one. I'll wait until the second year comes out before thinking about purchasing. My'02 GT Vert will be fine until then. But hopefully for you, the joys you get from driving it out weighs the problems you've encountered.

Since this is the second year of production most of the issues should be worked out. It's a new platform so I'm sure there will be some but we shall see!!!

Its always better to wait a year!
My Boss has a new 300C, and he has had it in the shop several times as well.
My friend has a new Chevy Cobalt, and the second day he had it, the window wouldn't go back up.
So its not just Ford!!

Agreed, that's why I waited to get an 06 instead of getting an 05.

I have been waiting and waiting to hear something about an SE, and the Shelby looks to be too much $$$. So I may just get another GT and add a supercharger.
Did any of you see that Vortech Mustang GT article? 410hp!

Yes but I wonder how the 3V motor is going to stand up to boost. I'm sticking with the all motor route for now.

I love the 05's but I still would have kept that Cobra  I guess I have a soft spot in my heart for the 99-04's!

The 03/04 Cobra's are probably my favorite styled Fox chasis stang. I will miss the Cobra because of it's power but the 05/06 Mustang is ten times a better car. Some times power isn't every thing......some times

Nah, no blowers or nitro. She's going to be all motor. With the basic run of the mill 05/06 GT mods (CAI, tune, long tubes, x pipe, cat back) and a set of ported heads (SHM comes to mind) 400hp is doable.
