Shaking Hood

Did a search and could not find anything. I just took delivery of my 07 GT and have noticed at freeway speeds the hood seems to be shaking. You know, ever so slightly from the front I can see it right where the seam is to the fender. I tried adjusting the little rubber stops which seemed to make it tighter but then the hood was not flush with the fender.

Anyone else experience this? If so what did you do?

Other people have had that problem, but usually adjusting the bump stops has fixed it.
I personally have had mine to 110mph without hood shake. Only time I get it is when a semi blows by me in the opposite direction.

Cool. I'll try lowering the middle ones a little instead of raising the drivers corner.

By the way, is the hood aluminum or steel? It seems pretty heavy.

The hood is aluminum. It's actually lighter than a lot of aftermarket fiberglass hoods.

But, yeah.. I had to adjust the rubber stops a couple of different times to get the hood to sit still and the lines to match up... so.. keep tweakin' 'em.. you'll get it.

Mine was a real PITA to adjust. To try and keep it even with the fenders. Now it just shakes during strong cross winds.

mine still stays pretty stable above 80.. I haven't been over 100 but a couple of times, and I don't recall that it even had a problem then.
