Um, just an FYI. That is the same as any 2005+ coupe with the Shaker 1000 and is not specific to the Bullitt. Moving to the 2005+ section.

Some of us don't possess the knowledge of others about these matters.

For example:

I didn't mean to make it sound like everyone should already know that. Just meant this is not specific to the Bullitt and I know it has been discussed before in this forum (not imboc.com). Your pics do look good. For more interior shots you can check out the timeline. http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/timeline/05/05/int.htm

I'd go with the 500, simply because, I'm going to build my own box, and I dont want the speaker in the doors like there are inthe 1000's

Ain't that the truth!!!
07- Roush 427 Convertible. 1-0f 17 in Torch Red. You need a Shaker 1000 when the " Roof's Down" and you have the Off-Roads installed!!!

The 500 has the subs in the doors as well. The major difference between the 500 and 1000 are those subs in the back, and the amplifiers if i remember.

+1

That's the only difference.
Base radio = no subs.
500 = door subs, 2 amps in the driver kick panel.
1000 = door subs, trunk subs, 2 amps in the driver kick panel, amp(s) in the trunk

According to my Specs document (that I can't post because it is too large of a PDF) the 500 system adds 15lbs, the 1000 system adds 73lbs to the base model. So the 1000 system adds 68lbs on top of the 500 system.

68 lbs???

That seems high - I remember someone posting saying they removed the sub and spare and jack and I am not even sure the total was that high

???

As for space.... I really can;t believe anyone complains... the Shaker sub box is really nicely designed and does NOT take up that much space

I still have LOADS of space back there and have taken many trips and filled the trunk with no problems.

Seriously, its not that bad at all
