A friend of mine has an 04 gt with the mach 1000 stereo, I have seen his setup with the 2 subs firing toward each other. but on the shaker 1000 FORD has designed a new sub box and located both subs in the same side of the trunk. I have seen NO pictures of the new amp locations and or if they are using new amps. can someone please help me out?

 

Its in the trunk, on the passenger side.

 

Ya, but where is the amp? It is not built into the sub box so it has to be somewhere....

I am sorry, but if the amp is enclosed in the box or whereever you think that you see it. I am sorry for doubting you. I just know how much room the amps took up in the earlier mustangs and I find it hard to believe that they squeezed all or just 1 amp in the same area that they have (2) ten inch subs. If this is true then wonderful and I appreciate you letting me know where they are. but if it is not true, then I still would like to know where they are. ps still not mustangs in Montgomery, but alas there are 3 in Troy. But unfortunately that is an hours drive away.

 

Eh. I am over the great mustang hunt for now. Dealers angered me with their hype. PLUS I was tired of getting excited then dissapointed. I will see and drive one next weekend, then put it on the shelf until January.

I am telling you, I don't know anything about an amp, not that I am right. I don't know doodly about stereos(or pretend to), I think the thing in the picture is a sub
( I just need it to sound good, don't need to know the specifics). When I looked in last weekend at the green GT here, I did not see anything in the trunk but the box in the trunk.

Someone who actually has one can probably answer better than me.
