I ordered my v6 on 4/7, and called the VOPC today, and was told as of 4/14, my car is serialized and awaiting build date and ETA. Is this a normal timeframe for a V6? How long am I looking at until delivery? Thanks.

serialized in itself is a good sign, in any time frame.

Holy pronto purchases! That is fast!

You should have a build week pretty quickly after your "serialization". The ERL or salesman should tell you.

Just called the dealer and they confirmed the order has been pulled and they have a vin number. I guess the VOPC is accurate. He said it will be a couple of weeks or so before he has a delivery ETA.

Where are you located that you actually had to order a V6? Here in Dallas the lots are overflowing with V6's. I can't imagine not being able to find one with all of the options and color choices I wanted had I wanted a V6? Just a question. Congrats on the fast order turnaround

I live in massachusetts, and have scoured all surrounding dealers and could not find the exact one I wanted. According to dealers, v6 with 5 speed man. tranny is rare, and I have to agree. This is what I ordered:

V6 Redfire, dark charcoal interior
5-speed manual transmission
Ext Sport Appearance pkg
Interior Upgrade package
ABS/TCS
Active Anti-Theft

I had to order my V6 too. I couldn't find a sonic blue with the IUP and manual tran on the lot.

That is very quick, consider yourself lucky. From my scheduled build date to delivery mine took 3 1/2 weeks.

Another sign that supply has met demand on the V-6. Prices customers are actually paying should be on their way down. Which makes the price differential between the GT and the V-6 even greater. Makes me wonder why I would put myself through this wait for a few HP's that I will rarely make use of. Then I remember that 1) I am a moron 2)I am a HP junkie and just can't seem to break the addiction. I have to get my fix.

I think you may be right about the v6 prices coming down. I was able to get the car 1000.00 below sticker price...Nice, when most other dealers are charging more than the sticker price!

Do you really think it'll be another two months? I would be very surprised if it did, especially since you live close to Michigan. Good luck....the wait is coming to an end!!

Just a guess, probably at least one month. I figured I'll get a build date about 2-3 weeks from now, then maybe 1-2 weeks for delivery. Probably more like 1.5 months from now. But I have IUP and ICAP, so who knows, build week could be pushed back if they are low on red leather and/or IUP.

I think the norm is 2-4 weeks, but who knows at the rate you're moving!

Glad your order was pulled so fast! But I think they probably already had it in line to be built and sent to a dealer, and when your order came in they may have done a little match-making and/or tweaked an option or two.

Either way, congrats bud!
