This really stinks! I'm getting out of the car this morning and caught my pant leg on the edge of the plastic seat valance, pulling it away from the base of the seat. Not only did it break the plastic at the retaining clip, but the connector for the switch had a couple pins ripped from it. Needless to say, I was really surprised this happened. Until I bring it to the dealer, does anyone know how to remove the large handle that adjusts the rear of the seat? I just want to know in case they give me any problems with warranty. I'm sorry, but this shouldn't happen at all!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Sorry but I cannot help but picturing a Tiger chasing you out of your car with the plastic attached to your pant leg. Good luck!

The large handle just pulls off. I had to take the valence off to install my seat heaters.

Thanks for the info. I'll try it when I get back home from my business trip.

The large handle should have a C-type of clip holding it on in a recessed area on the splined shaft.
