SCT II Locked

I am about to purchase one that a friend had but he didnt get a chance to unlock it before the insurance company and got the car. Does anyone know what I have to do to get in unlocked, if i have to send it back to them how much do they charge. Any help please.

Yes, you can download LiveLoad and unlock it with that. Then you'll need to get custom tunes on it from an SCT dealer (like BamaChips).

Unlock Device button on lower right corner of the attached screenshot.

That unlock device feature will not work. SCT says you have to return the device to them and pay $150 to unlock it.

If your friend did not return his vehicle back to the stock program first ? you cannot unlock the device yourself using the live load software until the stock program is downloaded back into the vehicle's computer from the programmer and am sorry to say that you'll have to ship the programmer back to SCT who will then ship you an unused programmer for a $75.00 - $150.00 fee

Freebass55 saw my Brittle recipe on my desktop screenshot!
Okay, for you guys, I'll post it later tonight (at work now)... guarenteed to be one of the yummiest Peanut Brittle recipes around!

Back to the SCT handheld, e-mail Doug or post your specific question in the (official) SCT Forum.

As promised... Now, you Mustang guys must keep this recipe on the down low! It must not fall into the hands of Chevy owners.

From what i just learned on my other thread i posted...

"unlocked" and "return to stock" are two completely different things.

The seller must return his car to stock with the tuner first. Then when you recieve the tuner you must use liveload to "unlock" the tuner from the previous users VIN.

That is the reason for the unlock button on live load.

Its a two step process.
